Gilani, Shabbir Shah, Nayeem Khan Under House Arrest

Srinagar, In occupied Kashmir, the authorities placed veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani and other Hurriyet leaders including, Shabbir Ahmed Shah and Nayeem Ahmad Khan under house arrest to prevent them from leading protest demonstrations against the human rights violations by Indian troops in the territory. According to Kashmir Media Service, heavy contingents of Indian police personnel have been deployed outside the residences of the Hurriyet leaders and they have been asked not to venture out.
