Govt not serious in curbing Karachi violence: Prof Ghafoor
Karachi, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Naib Amir Prof Abdul Ghafoor Ahmed has said that the government still seemed unserious in curbing Karachi violence, this is why it is not taking solid and result-oriented steps against known terrorists, killers and extortionists.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, he said the government has badly failed to provide citizens protection of life and property and thus it is has lost the right to rule the country. He said these inept rulers should step down without further wasting time. He said the Jammat-e-Islami is observing a protest day on Friday in whole country against the Karachi killings. He said in Karachi the central rally would march from the Binoria Town Mosque to Mazar-e-Quaid. JI Karachi acting amir Birjess Ahmed also spoke on the occasion.
