NA members pay tribute to Shaheed BB on her birthday
Islamabad: In the National Assembly Tuesday, members representing various political parties paid glowing tributes to shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto on the occasion of her birth day today.
Rising on points of order they said the late leader waged a relentless struggle for revival and strengthening of democracy and safeguarding of rights of the people. Those who eulogized her services included Federal Minister Syed Khurshid Ahmad, Ghulam Mutafa Shah, Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Abdul Qadir Baloch, Abdul Qadir Khanzada, Barjees Tahir, Sheikh Aftab Ahmad, Imtiaz Safdar Warriach, Usman Khan, Kamran Khan and Asiya Nasir. Meanwhile, Minister for Interior Rehman Malik informed the House that a law is being drafted to enhance penalties for use of sheesha in colleges and restaurants in Islamabad. He was responding to a call attention notice by Imrana Saeed and others about reports of increased use of sheesha in colleges and restaurants. The Minister said the existing law allows use of sheesha by people in the age group of 18-25 years and a new law to ban it entirely all over the country can be considered if the House so wishes.
