Provision of technical education govt top priority

RAWALPINDI, Chairman Sasti Roti scheme and Member National Assembly (MNA) Muhammad Hanif Abbasi has said that provision of technical education is Governments top priority.

He made these remarks while chairing a high level meeting in commissioner house here on Monday, which was attended by Commissioner Rawalpindi Zahid Saeed, District Coordination Officer (DCO) Saqib Zafar, Najam Aftab Manager TEVTA and Amjad Mansoor Registrar TEVTA. He apprised the meeting that keeping in view the need of skilled force in the country that Punjab Government has decided to construct a Technical & Vocational Institute at Farooq Azam Road. He said that PC 1 is being prepared for the said project and Rs. 400 million allocated for its construction. Hanif disclosed that Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif will soon lay the foundation stone of the proposed institution. He expressed hope that after the completion, the institute will benefit the poor the most. The said that the Punjab government led by Mian Shahbaz Sharif was leaving no stone unturned for the well being of a common man, as various initiatives taken in this regard spoke volume of the governments commitments. He went on saying that the establishment of Danish Schools across the province reflected the vision of CM Punjab. On the occasion Zahid Saeed briefed that 11 kanal land has been acquired for the construction of the institution. In the end Hanif Abbasi on behalf of the citizens, he thanked Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif for allocating of land for the construction of the institution.
