220 kv tower partially damaged in explosion near Mach

QUETTA:Unknown persons blew up a 220 kv Sibi-Quetta double circuit transmission lien tower near Mach. Towr was partially damaged but supply was not affected.

National Transmisison and Despatch Company (NTDC) sources said her eWednesdy that NTDC working on emergency basis repaired the sid tower. Meanwhile, Habibullah Coastal Power House was generating 60 mw of electricity due to two faulty units since long instead of 120 mw. Supply from Guddu-Uch-Sibi transmission line was providing 270 mw. Thus was only 320 mw electricity was available instead of 1250 mw demand. In view of this situation, load shedding on rural feeders has been increased with immediate effect. However 6 hours load shedding was being made on all feeders in Quetta city.

Arroyo daughter said to be expecting twins

GMA daughter Luli Arroyo, 40, is expecting twins from her three-year marriage with investment banker Luigi Bernas, according to an unconfirmed report from a Malacaang-friendly source.
