DCO assures to settle market relocation issue

KARACHI:District Coordination Officer Karachi Muhammad Hussain Syed has assured the shopkeepers of Old Shahabuddin Market in Saddar that the issue of relocation of Shahabuddin Market will be solved soon.

On a meeting with the representative of Shahabuddin Market's shopkeepers and other market traders on Saturday, he said that he had come to meet them on the directive of Governor of Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan to listen to their problems and to solve this issue as soon as possible. Earlier, he inspected the plot of old Shahabuddin Market where city government had planned a parking plaza. He also visited Umer Farooq Market and adjacent Empress Market Saddar during a detailed visit on this occasion. During the meeting with the shopkeepers of Shahabuddin Marke DCO Karachi said that the government was fully aware of their problems and grievances and therefore it was taking all possible steps to solve them speedily. He expressed hope that this effort would bring positive results and this issue will be solved very soon.
