Mirza orders beefing up security for April 4
Karachi:Strongly condemning terror attacks on the convoys of JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman in Swabi and Charsadda, Home Minister Sindh Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza has directed the IGP to beef up security on the occasion of death anniversary of PPP founder chairman Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on April 04 (Friday).
Dr. Mirza has directed IGP Fayyaz Leghari to take extraordinary security measures for mosques, imambarghas, madaris, schools, and worship places of minorities. Regarding the administrative affairs for the commemoration on Aril 04, he has directed Leghari to chalk out a strategy, in coordination with other law enforcement agencies (LEAs), for intelligence to avoid any untoward situation. Furthermore the home minister directed regional police officers of Hyderabad and Sukkur, besides the CCPO Karachi, to enhance security checks at all entry points of Gharhi Khuda Buksh and also to keep a close watch on all convoys headed for Gharhi Khuda Buksh. In a separate directive to the RPO Sukkur, he instructed him to ensure a detailed briefing to the police personnel of the adjoining areas of Garhi Khuda Buksh, besides taking all suspects into custody.
