PML-Q calls for national strategy to register strong protest with USA

Islamabad: Terming the desecration of Holy Qura'an by a pastor in Florida as inhuman act of an insane person, Pakistan Muslim League Women's Wing President Mrs. Farrukh Khan Friday called for a national strategy to register strong protest with the USA at the highest level.

Addressing a PML meeting in condemnation to the act by the US pastor Terry Jones, the PML leader said the act was a serious effort to ignite the sentiments of billions of Muslims as well as people from other beliefs, Farrukh Khan said burning a holy book is actually an effort to destabilize the world peace. "All nations should take cognizance of such an uncalled for act which only aims at further destabilizing the world peace and harmony and also the efforts by the UN to bring peace and harmony around the world," she added. She called on all the political parties to join hands and register a strong protest with the US government on the act of madness by the pastor who wanted to get the fanatics resurge and harm the efforts for peace and brotherhood. "Even the Christians have also distanced from this act and they are also condemning this move which reflects that Jones has left alone in his evil mission. This is also a triumph of the holy religion of Islam which teaches peace and brotherhood. This incident has also proved that Muslims can tolerate anything, but no conspiracy could be tolerated against humanity, she added.

GMA daughter Luli Arroyo, 40, is expecting twins from her three-year marriage with investment banker Luigi Bernas, according to an unconfirmed report from a Malacaang-friendly source.
