South police arrest 20 accused
KARACHI: Twelve police stations of Karachi Zone South police have arrested 20 accused and recovered illegal weapons and drugs form them, police said.
As per details the police on the instruction of DIG Zone South police Iqbal Mehmood continued crackdown on the criminals. Bughdadi police station apprehended four armed men, Irfan, Sher Mohammad, Mehmood and Usman, and recovered three TT pistols and a repeater from their possession. The accused were involved in harassing the people by conducting firing in Lyari area. Jamshed police station arrested a street criminal and recovered one TT pistol, six snatched mobile phones and cash from him. Gizri police after encounter nabbed a robber, Javaid Gul, and recovered a TT pistol from him while his two other aides managed to escape. Maripur, Napier, and Saddar police stations arrested two drug peddlers and two absconders suspected in drug peddling and recovered hashish from them. They identified as Nazim, Sikandar Hussain, Iqbal and Rajab Ali. Meanwhile, Mehmoodabad, Baloch Colony, Shershah and Boat Basin police apprehended five street criminals, Munnu, Allah Bux, Nasrullah, Farman and Rehmatullah, and recovered four TT pistols and a knife from their possession. Furthermore, Kharadar police arrested two robbers Samiullah and Nadir and recovered two TT pistols from them. The accused used to loot passengers on gunpoint. Garden, Kharadar and Jamshed police arrested three drug peddlers and recovered narcotics from them.
